Why does mining one block take away like 3 durability? It’s kinda nuts. I think the durability should either be raised a ton and each use should be just one durability, or just remove durability entirely. Or if someone could make a mod that does it so it’s optional that’d be nice too.
Salmon-e I remember someone wrote a mod similar to the infinite durability

The cost of mining durability is related to the hardness of the block. You can see the hardness of each block in the JSON file. In generally, without enchantment or buff, 60 hardness consumes 1 durability. Here are some example:
The dirt block with 60 hardness always consumes you 1 durability.
The ore_gold block with 180 hardness always consumes you 3 durability.
The obsidian block with 1500 hardness always consumes you 1500/60=25 durability.
We won’t remove the durable system, but we will add some non-durable items as official mods.
The design of every tool is that: cheap and simple tools always has durable, and non-durable tools will be expensive to make.
